Parsons’ Industrial Division is a world-class leader in delivering solutions to private sector industrial clients and various government agencies.  Our key clients in North America include the following:

·         Federal and provincial/territorial agencies

Our primary services in Canada include delivery of comprehensive environmental solutions, including program and construction management, to assess, manage and remediation of contaminated sites. Parsons has completed environmental projects at more than 10,000 sites across Canada over nearly 40 years and is currently managing the clean-up work at two of the top three sites on the Canadian Federal Government’s Contaminated Sites Action Plan; these two sites are the Giant Mine in the Northwest Territories and the Faro Mine in the Yukon Territory.





We are seeking a Business Development Director to lead our Canadian sales and help us achieve our growth objectives. Responsibilities for this position include the following:


·         Creates and drives market, client and pursuit strategies in partnership with management

·         Develops and delivers on annual sales plan consistent with growth objectives

·         Establishes and maintains client relationships in support of new and ongoing sales

·         Implements effective sales and customer relationship management processes/tools

·         Leads the creation of high-quality marketing materials

·         Leads team formation and preparation of winning proposals

·         Effectively negotiates contracts and commercial terms

·         Keeps abreast of market and industry trends to identify growth opportunities

·         Maintains a database of key competitor capabilities and commercial competitiveness


Travel within Canada will be required to cultivate new and ongoing business endeavors.




The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:


·         4-year degree in Engineering, Science or Business (or equivalent)

·         15+ years of diversified experience, primarily in a business development capacity

·         5+ years of experience in a consulting business

·         Successful track record of client engagement and winning work within Parsons’ targeted client base/market sectors, including the Canadian mining sector

·         Strong passion for building business within Parsons’ target area

·         Strong client relationships and ability to interface at all levels within client organizations

·         Strengths in critical thinking demonstrated by opportunity identification, pre-positioning, proposal development, pricing, contract negotiations, closing sales and transitioning new wins into operations

·         Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage and prioritize several assignments simultaneously.

·         Energetic self-starter with ability to prioritize

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Excellent English communication skills are essential (written, verbal, and presentation)

·         Proficient Microsoft Office computer skills
