The Opportunity


Are you a business development leader experienced in the industrial market place? Have you mentored teams and expanded markets?  If your experience includes demonstrable success selling program and construction management, engineering, EPC, and environmental services, then this is an exceptional opportunity.  Parsons seeks a Sr. Vice President of Industrial Business Development to join our team.  In this role you’ll lead a diverse team of business developers that sell solutions in capital program delivery and environmental solutions across North America.  Our expectations for this position are to achieve both financial and new market objectives.  Those goals mean our selected Sr. Vice President of Industrial Business Development will be both a leader and a contributor to the success of this group.   





The Sr. Vice President of Industrial Business Development will have an understanding of complex business negotiations and the ability to recognize and act upon opportunities to promote Parsons’ expertise and successful past performance. Intimacy with a diverse set of energy, chemical, utility and governmental clients is expected.  Responsibilities will include client interface and oversight of major proposal activities.  Travel will be required to cultivate new and ongoing business development endeavors and to meet with internal and external stakeholders.  This position will regularly interface with upper-level management and client personnel, including executive/C-Suite relationships. Houston is the ideal home for this important role.


  • A minimum of 15 -20 years of business development that includes program and construction management, capital project execution (engineering, procurement and construction) and delivery of comprehensive industrial solutions. 
  • 4-year degree in related Engineering or Science discipline, (an advanced degree with recent executive development strongly preferred)
  • A track record of meeting objectives, negotiating contracts and developing opportunities.
  • Existing cordial business relationships with a wide spectrum of industrial clients.
