Sustainability Program Manager
 
Indianapolis, IN
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Manages project activities related to developing a Federal government client’s sustainability program.  Serves as the primary point of contact with the client for all project-related activities. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Reviews, edits, develops and revises guidance documents, processes, procedures, policies and other documentation required to support the client’s Sustainable Program.
Assists the client with the development, management and monitoring of sustainable implementation plans, to include, but not limited to, the following: Sustainable Acquisition Implementation Plan, Pollution Prevention/Waste Reduction/Recycling Implementation Plan, Electronic Stewardship Implementation Plan, Climate Change Resilience Implementation Plan, and Water Efficiency Implementation Plan.
Assists client with the development and management of a Sustainability Steering Committee (SSC), to include, capturing meeting minutes, logistic support, updating SSC Charter, and other requirements in direct support of the SSC.
Assist client with gathering, analyzing and reporting program goals, objectives, outcomes and issues, as well as other reporting requirements generated by internal and external entities.
Submits monthly reports to client, and responds to client issues and expectations.
 
Keeps client and Project Manager informed of the day-to-day activities of the project.
 
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
 
 
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
 
4-year degree in a technical, environmental, or engineering field (or equivalent) and at least 8 years’ related work experience is required.  Experience with Federal projects and LEED certification is preferred. 
 
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
 
Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required. Candidate will be required to pass Government background investigation.
